What We Do For You
Bring us your questions. Your goals. Your ambitions.
Tell us what you want to get out of your work environment — and we'll help you determine what should go into it.
Before we get down to talking tables and chairs, we take the time to understand your requirements: what you want your space to feel like; how you want to use it. Then we develop solutions that fit perfectly with your people and your plans — solutions drawn from our extensive offering of high-quality office furniture and workspace accessories.
Consulting
Up front
When a customer comes to us, we start with a conversation, not a catalogue. We start by talking about business goals and expectations. Big-picture stuff. Why? Because our first job is to understand what our clients expect from their workspace — and from us.
Depending on those expectations, we launch into a number of processes: anything from consulting on the reconfiguration of existing facilities to designing a whole new workspace.
To better understand your needs, we draw on leading-edge diagnostic tools such as Workplace Performance™ by Steelcase. These help us discover the best answers to your specific space requirements — looking beyond furniture to include all the various considerations of today's office environments: technology, flexibility, accessibility.
Finally, we develop solutions that support your organization's work patterns — solutions that conform to your space and your budget.
Planning
Different by design
Our salespeople and planners collaborate closely, gathering a wealth of detail about your office site to create a precise model of the environment you want to build.
Once we determine the kinds of elements your workspace should feature, our technical planners render 3D drawings of how those elements can be arranged to achieve your functional and aesthetic objectives.
These designs are based on our expert understanding of the fact that workflow isn't just a matter of process — it's also a function of space. Every conceivable element is included: not only desks and dividers, but lighting, storage, ergonomic and organizational tools as well.
Our technical planning department also has the capacity to help you visualize ways of reconfiguring your existing furniture systems, or to combine existing elements with new additions — whatever you require.
Delivery & Installation
Our experienced and highly professional operations team works with you to plan the logistics of delivering, assembling and configuring your workspace components. We deal with every foreseeable consideration, from electrical and structural preparations to elevator availability. Every step of the way, we make sure that you understand our responsibilities, your responsibilities, and exactly what the process involves — because our goal is to guarantee your satisfaction.
And we don't stop there. We will clean, inventory and, if needed, warehouse your office assets.
We can even plan and provide everything from boxes to trucks for your next office move.
Environmental Strategy
Make a Difference!
At Capital Office we are committed to the current and future health of our community and planet. We believe that being "green" or "environmental" can't just come in a product or a brochure. We know that people and company processes are key parts in having a successful strategy to reduce our footprint on the environment. We know that we always need to strive to be better environmental stewards for our business, but also for our families.
Here are some of the things we do at Capital Office Interiors that we think make a difference:
1) Product - We represent the world's largest portfolio of "Cradle-to-Cradle" certified office furniture products available through our partner Steelcase. "Cradle-to-Cradle" certification is really an incredible certification system. You can learn more about it at: http://www.steelcase.com/na/cradle_to_cradle_product_certi_ourcompany.aspx?f=24638
2) Remanufacturing of product - We divert product from land-fills everyday by taking some of our older products and making them new. Any broken parts are recycled replaced, fabric is recycled and replaced and all metal is re-painted. The result is a new looking product that meets original manufacturer specifications, even though it may be decades old.
3) Redeployment of your existing product - We don't "dispose" of your old product. We remove your old product and separate it into usable and non-usable. Non-usable products are further broken-down and recycled locally. Last year we recycled 17,300 tons of steel.
4) Product Packaging - All packaging material is loaded and brought to our warehouse where it is separated. Typically our packaging material consists of very little that can't be re-used or recycled. The limited waste we do get is usually some wrapping material. We have metal and cardboard recycling bins at our location, once they are full they are picked up by local contractors and recycled. Wood pallets and other re-usable packaging material are re-used either by us or our suppliers. If we get an excess of wood pallets they are also recycled locally. We use recyclers that are very close in proximity to our warehouse to eliminate excess transportation.
5) Our office - all excess paper is recycled. Any bottles or cans are recycled. Business lunches are served using re-usable cutlery and plates. Sales-people group meetings to reduce travel. When possible we travel to meetings in groups.
